This square tends to get crowded because its a people watching place to view exotic cars of the rich and famous. But security is everywhere, so act properly. Monaco is a very serious place and follow rules.Visited March 2024Travelled soloWritten 15 April 2024

Unfortunately I was unlucky not to be able to see the front of the Casino as there is work going on and the whole of the front is covered up but!! It makes you go around to the back which is far more picturesque!! I would have missed this had the front not been covered over ... go around the back and the views out to sea are amazing and the building itself is well worth a closer look . There is a lovely walk around the “ wall “ and seating areas , gardens and pieces of art to look at .

Unfortunately, they were setting up for the Grand Prix so I felt our visit to Casino Square was very underwhelming. The grass area had been removed only leaving the statue in the centre so there wasn't much for us to see. Our visit was at the wrong time but as I am not a following of the Grand Prix, I didn't realise.

From the top of the gardens and walking down, there are plenty of opportunities for photos of this grand building. When you are outside, there is the fountain, the expansive area in front and the cars parked outside. Have a browse for your favourite and then move on.

One must visit Monaco at least once in life time. You can reach Monaco from Nice Airport by car. The roads will zigzag across the shore of Mediterranian Sea. The city's roads are narrow as it is on a Hill. Princess Palace, Maritime Museum, Casino of Monte Carlo, Sea side boats, small Horse ride area are attractions

We visited as part of an afternoon in Monte Carlo, Monaco. We stopped off as it was the same train from Menton returning to Nice. Just a note, please BE CAREFUL OF PICKPOCKETERS on the public transport system in Nice. Its scary and can ruin your holiday!
Anyway, we visited here which is a 10 minute walk down from the train station. Worth a look, but we didn’t stat long and didn’t go in the casino.
Instead we decided to take a bus from here to Monaco -Ville. Much easier to take a bus as its very hilly region and in a hot day, it would be exhausting.

Monte Carlo beats Las Vegas, hands down! I have never seen such a massive display of wealth in one area. With all the expensive cars and the beautiful landscape and architecture, I was lost in the amazement. The best part was at night when the front of the casino lit up with a projector displaying various images of gambling themes while listening to music from the Casino Royale soundtrack. I would definitely come back here again!

I’m thinking about a road trip to Monaco with my wife in my ferarri 488 spider. I was hoping to park in casino square, is this allowed or do I need some sort of pass?
Written 25 January 2018
I don't why you'd be driving a spider, but valet is available as well as street parking. An underground garage is also there for your use.

Dress code
Can someone please advice dress code to get into "paid" casino as we are getting confused please?
Us ladies are easy with dress heels etc but for men? Would it be no trainers?
Jeans ?
Do they need long sleeve shirt and tie ? Would short sleeve be ok, Shorts etc any advice or a link to read would be soooo appreciated so we can pack thank you :-)
Written 21 June 2017
If you are going during the day - before I think 6/7pm - you can wear pretty much anything. We saw guys at the tables in shorts and casual short sleeve shirts.
In the evening it gets smarter. I think jackets for men and smart for ladies. Avoiding jeans and trainers and having a jacket for men covers almost anywhere. Have fun and only take in the amount of cash you can afford to lose if you are gambling.

Is there a bus travelling from Oceanographic Museum to Casino Square?
Written 1 December 2016
The walk is most pleasant between the two and, in that direction, is all downhill

How can we get there from cruise ship. My sister is disabled

Hi I agree with the below posts that it's probably best to catch a taxi up to Casino square as its a steep walk from the harbor. As Monaco is so small, it won't be a long taxi ride. Enjoy your trip
Written 19 September 2016
We always take the car and we park just down the hill from the square. If you go past the car park on casino square (which is usually full) and go down the hill about 300m on the left hand side just at the bend on the road there is a car park in the shopping centre. Never had any problems parking there.

How to get to Casino Square from Oceanographic museum?
Written 18 May 2016
To go to Casino square (this will be the name of the stop) from Monaco Ville you should take a bus no 1. No 2 will take you to Office de Tourism, 50 m from Casino square.

Io ho fatto la recensione solo sulla piazza, per entrare a visitare il casinò si paga e i minorenni non possono accedere.
