Pleasantly surprised by this museum. A little bit quirky and full of really interesting stuff. Check out the details in the building itself lots of sea life.

Beautiful building in a historic place next to the Monaco Palace Medium size aquarium, you can visit it in 1h30 hours. There is a parking that has an elevator from town up to the entrance (it's on top of a hill)

I've been reading about this place since I was a youngster. So happy to have finally been able to visit. The only part I did not like was the museum portion showing what we have done to many species in our ocean.

Been collecting saltwater fish for 40+ years. Been to the best of the best aquariums all over the world. The Oceanographic may be moderately sized, but it was high quality all around. Some of the best specimens we have ever seen in captivity. The kids loved it and it made us miss our fish. Good stop; glad we made the... More

This museum is must see when you are in Monaco. Cost of the ticket is around 14 euros each, but well worth it. Takes about to 1.5 to 2 hours to see.

The best place in this part of Europe. I was here several times with my friends, my wife, with children. Everytime it was perfect. This is the real oceanographic history which was written by my favourite traveler, explorer and discoverer Jean Yves Cousteau.

Loved the visit. There is really something for everyone to see and learn. Apart from the Aquarium with all the sea life there are a lot of instruments and equipment to see.

Best to approach the building from the marina and climb the steps from sea level. Two attractions for the price of one. The fish tanks offer a good knowledge of the mysterious world in the depth of the oceans. The museum is located on the upper floors of the building and has some interesting architectural features added to the collection.

This is so much more than an aquarium, than a museum, than a tourist destination. The fish displays are superb, spotlessly clean (including the glass), and a journey back in time to the earliest ocean discoveries. Check out the world's first submarine!
