Definitely a must see, even though very little of the palace is actually open to the public. You can buy a ticket just for the palace museum, or add on the automobile museum, which is in a different part of the city centre. The ticket...More

We got the hop on hop off tour bus from the casino at stop 5 to the Prince’s Palace at stop 7 and lucky for us we arrived at 11.45am. Just in time for the changing of the guards! It started at 11.55am and lasted...More

Good insights into the world of royalty. You can enjoy what you see but cannot take photos. But it is worth it. We saw the changing of the guards and then did the tour of the palace. We bought the combined ticket of the Prince's...More

For an art enthusiast, there are a lot to see. Almost every sculpture, every piece of furniture, and every piece of porcelain are worth a close look at. And the fabric wallpapers and chandeliers look imposing. Paintings are relatively lacklustre. It's a shame that we're...More

We stopped in here for the tour and the line took as much time as the tour did. The tour probably lasts about 25-30 minutes. It was nice to see the rooms and listen to the self guided tour. Rather interesting how the super wealthy...More

Quite a walk up with steep steps, although enjoyable. However, you can now use lifts/escalators to get you some or all of the way up. Once there the views over the bay are lovely. There are benches, toilets etc at the top so you can...More

At 8 Euros entrance, including a good audio guide, a visit to the palace interior represents excellent value for money. You see twelve, generally lavish rooms, though I recommend you get there early before the bulk of the tourists arrive as I imagine the rooms...More

Built in 1191 as a Genoese fortress it has been bombarded and overtaken by many foreign powers. Prince Rainier III is credited for restoring the Palace to its former glory. This was one of our stops on our tour for photo opportunities, but we did...More

At 11:55 this event happens daily. Quite the pomp and circumstance involved. Definitely worth watching. Get there 20 minutes early as it does get crowded.

I bought online ticket for couple months before I go to Monaco. The palace full of history but you can't access in many areas. There are staff and guards everywhere. I understand that royal family is living there. The souvenir coin in front of the...More

We went late in the afternoon, if I recall it was around 5pm in August. There was no line up at all, we walked right in and the palace was not crowded. Check for closing times. We spent about an hour and a half exploring the... More

Hi, it is a hop on and off train. The first station is at the front of the staircase of the aquarium. There is a sign there with the train timetable and its stops.
