Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was the closest port from my hotel and it was beautiful. The view in the morning is so picturesque. Great area to walk

Take your time and walk around this encapsulating waterfront with its towering mountains and blue waters making you feel closed in ( in a good way) there are plenty of bars and restraunts as well some water based activities to take in. You will also find a shopping centre as well.

Info: Frontvieille Port in Monaco was built in the late 1960s by reclaiming land from the sea, and can accommodate nearly 270 boats. Given the limited space, only smaller yachts can dock there.
My Experience: This is the smaller harbor than the Monte Carlo Port, where smaller boats and yachts dock. While there its a nice walk and then you can grab a meal or drinks at the other end where you will find a couple of restaurants/cafes.

There is no one around. People are missing. Expensive cafes are closed. No signs of life. Rather dour!

The place is not interesting at all. During the evening, with lights on, it might have some good vibes. The place needs more care.

Whilst luxury boats bob around on the blue Mediterranean waters and the sweet smell of wealth bellows from around the corner in Monaco, Fontvielle is sadly lacking in the glamour from its neighbour. I personally feel that the buildings reaching towards the waters edge are ugly and lack personality as they all desperately push and shove towards the lapping waters .

Beautiful but small port, one the East side of Monaco. The best views can be had from Place du Palais. To get here walk up the ramped steps to the top of the palace area

my husband and I will be staying in Columbus Hotel, Fontvieille in October. We are trying to find out about any bus service that runs to this district from Nice airport. The airport express has stopped running here as of June 2015 so their nearest drop to our hotel seems to be Place d'Ames which looks quite a walk according to the map. Has anyone any suggestions please, would be very grateful.

There is an express bus service from Nice Airport to Monaco; Bus no. 110 and in every 30 minutes it departs from the airport terminal no. 1. I don't think it departs late night. In Monaco there is a bus stop near Place d'Armes. The fare is 20 € per person. Please google for niceairportxpress.
In Monaco you can get local buses to Fontvieille, otherwise you have to take taxi or to walk. Please check the website of
