I walk the trail every time I visit platres. The trail is relatively easy. It is linear and you can walk from high to low altitude if you like more relaxing. Only need someone to pick you up on the other side. The falls are...More

The walk to the falls was wonderful! It took around 40 minutes with a few short rest stops. The nature walk to get the falls was lovely (a little challenging in parts) and the waterfall was very nice. It’s a great thing to do when...More

It's a well prepared trail with a very unique and magic atmosphere really worth the walk. Took about 1.5 hrs to walk to the falls and back to our car. It's fantastic!

Was looking forward to this but it’s not easy to find - we got there but no sign posts to highlight which direction and there are a few paths which don’t lead to the waterfall. Mention this to other people I met along the way...More

This is an easy walk in beautiful surroundings. A real green haven in the summer with a refreshing waterfall at the top. Just what we needed.

Caledonia waterfalls My advice as a local is to wear sport shoes, shorts, a bottle to refill from the river when needed and a T-shirt to change at the end of the routes! Go till the end (3 km) to enjoy the waterfall, it's amazing...More

We arrived in Pano Platres having driven into the Trodos without much of a plan. The lady in the visitor office recommended these falls a short drive away. You park at the fish farm/restaurant and the walk is easy to spot from there. The route...More

We walked to the falls from Platres with our 3 year old and she loved it. 1km from the Trout farm car park, following the stream all the way to the falls. Lots of areas to stop and dip your feet in the cool water...More

Not too challenging walk on well tended path to pleasant waterfall. Places to sit and rest along the way as well as at waterfall itself.

Because of dry months of summer flow can be very low (not even enough to make it a waterfall). Better have visit during October or November. Best time to visit with hot weather is June.

Go to Booking search "Platres village" the New Helvetia Hotel and Forest Park Hotel are well known. There both at the same area but New Helvetia is a one hundred meters from it if I am not mistaken.

I agree, I wouldn’t recommend taking your dog as beautiful as it is, there are huge rocks to climb and some are extremely slippery. As you climb higher it becomes even more steep.
