We had a lovely morning climbing up from Platres to the Caledonia Falls. It was extremely hot by the sea so we decided to head up into the mountains. Our 5 and 7 yr old children had a wonderful time clambering over boulders, crossing stepping...More

for the cats at the waterfall. One is pregnant at the time of this review (April 25) The cats are the highlight of the hike and the falls. I'd rank the falls at 230 of the maybe 250 falls I've seen. The hike is a...More

I felt a lot of danger to finally reach there, my friends carried me with my wheelchair. But worth the trouble! It was a beautiful and wild nature scene to see. Extraordinary.

A good walk to one of Cyprus's best waterfalls, you could just go to the falls or as we did continue beyond and come round in a loop, do wear appropriate gear and take plenty of water

The walk to the fall is fine, takes around 40 min one way and 20 min going back. The fall itself is nice, but not that spectacular if you do not like walking a lot as it takes some time. The trail itself is not...More

I admit I’m not very fit and have two replacement knees, but I struggled to get to the top, having to have frequent breaks on the way. It is a very pretty route but very rocky and lots of tree roots as well as quite...More

The walk to the waterfalls is only 20-25minutes each way, the trees provide great coverage and the foliage is lovely. The waterfalls themselves are pretty buy not large. A pleasant walk and nice to get out in the forest.

Personally if flat ground is needed I wouldn't recommend it as there are rocks and exposed tree roots. Sorry, your safety comes first.

Because of dry months of summer flow can be very low (not even enough to make it a waterfall). Better have visit during October or November. Best time to visit with hot weather is June.

Go to Booking search "Platres village" the New Helvetia Hotel and Forest Park Hotel are well known. There both at the same area but New Helvetia is a one hundred meters from it if I am not mistaken.
