Animal prison.
Sep. 2021 • Family
The cages for the animals are far too small the large birds do not have enough room to fly around, the ostriches are so stressed they have plucked most of their feathers out, pretty sure one of the Llamas was dead. None of the animals have anything within their enclosures to stimulate their wellbeing also hardly any of them had water in their cages and if they were lucky enough to have a bowl of water it had clearly been there for days. There was a peacock within a small cage not big enough to fan its feathers. The elephant is simply there for profit as its enclosure was smaller than the picnic area, the other part of its enclosure was cornered off with electric wire which is switched off to allow the tourists in for their €50 photo opportunity. The penguin pool water was filthy. The mandrill monkeys (mom, dad and baby) all looked completely depressed, reaching out of their cage. The tortoises were literally climbing the sides of the cages to get out. The whole experience was horrible for anyone who cares about animals and does not like to see them suffer.

Worth your time to visit but take drinkable water with you!
Aug. 2021 • Family
Visited with family; clean surroundings; Excellent selection of animals exhibiting; well trained & polite staff;

The con is that they charge the small bottle of water 1.50€ which I find unacceptable.

Overall we had a great time.

Family day
Aug. 2021 • Family
There is a variety of birds and animals. Ideal for families. I would recommend in the summer to go either too early at nine when it opens or after 330 so you can see everything but the sun won't be too hot.
The show with the parrots and the owls is very good, bit I had to translate everything to my kids. The show is in English only.

Super day out at the zoo!
Aug. 2021 • Family
A great place to visit for children & adults of all ages at a reasonable price. There is a wide variety of animals which are happy and well cared for. You get a much more personal and up close experience than you would ever get in the UK. There are also different animal experiences that you can participate in for an additional fee eg. feed the giraffes, meet the elephant.
The bird show is amazing & well worth a watch! Plenty of shade too for when it’s hot & sunny.
The flamingo restaurant is fantastic with an extensive menu, including authentic Cypriot specialities. The service was great, with a super waitress!

Prison
Jun. 2021 • Family
A prison for animals in small cages. Wow if you like seeing animals in small areas and demoralized by bad routines this is your place. Birds that can't fly because their wing span is bigger than their cells, their feathers falling out and have plain boring surroundings. A large elephant in a small area without it's pool filled in mid June which has to do a stupid routine whenever someone wants her to have a photo.. the elephant brings in 50 euros a picture, she's is a prop. The children's play area is bigger than her enclosure. A very sad day out.

Once in a lifetime elephant experience!
Jun. 2021 • Couples
We visited the zoo on a recommendation from our friends and certainly weren't disappointed! Wandering around the easily navigable paths, you're not too sure which way to look as there's a plethora of wonderful creatures in every direction. Our favourite, most memorable, exciting, informative and emotive experience, was the privilege of being in the company of an 11 year old, female Asian elephant. For €50 we were able to feed, touch and be in the presence of this wonderful little lady! Mark, the elephant experience host, has an infectious enthusiasm not only for elephant conservation worldwide, but equally ensures that everyone leaves having had a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Amazing experience
Nov. 2020 • Family
My husband, myself and my 3 year old son visited the zoo during our stay in Pafos. The zoo was very quiet due to the current covid situation and not many people traveling.
They had a great variety of animals that were all able to be seen very closely, and all looked happy and healthy!
The cost to enter I thought was really good value at €34 ish for all 3 of us.
While you are there you can pay extra for animal interactions such as the lemur enclosure (which is a must, it made our day) and giraffe feeding, and holding a parrot or owl.
This is one of the most enjoyable zoos I've been to and would have loved to have stayed longer!

Absolutely amazing experience!

I went with a friend on Saturday 31st October and we had an amazing time. The highlight for sure was the lemur enclosure! It’s an extra €5 per person paid at the enclosure and you are given a cup of fruit to give to the lemurs. Once inside the lemurs are very friendly and will jump all over you and there are some cheeky ones that will grab the cup and stick their head in for the fruit! I never knew how soft their little hands were and it’s so worth doing! So much that I want to go back and do it again!

The rest of the zoo is also fantastic and I would give yourself about 2 hours to see everything there. There’s also a cafe and a restaurant if you want to spend more time there and it’s a great way to spend part of your day.
