Such a peaceful place to visit

A beautiful church, amazing views, a museum as well unfortunately did not get to see as closed for lunch when there - well worth a visit.

We really liked this Monastery and we visited this place twice as it was raining during our first visit. The original and old Monastery is on the mountain, looks like etched on mountain. It costs 2 Euro to go inside and you will see ancient ceiling paintings. It is definitely worth visiting the place. Its a very peaceful place and... More

Nice to see the old monastery and the way it's set in the cliffs. For 2 euros it's worth seeing. The church is breathtaking but be warned no photos...hope you understand Cypriot ? If not the arm waving gets more vigorous Lovely little cafe to shelter from the sun and enjoy the clean quiet air

The breathtaking scenery leads to an historic monastery. Wonderfully peaceful spiritual place with exceptional ancient icons, a small museum, gardens to walk around and seating for the tired traveller not to be missed. This monastery is very close in distance to the busy Paphos

this monastery is very small but the views are stunning, the caves and the museum are very small but interesting as this was the original monastery carved out of the stone. makes you get a feel for how it was. the new monastery is very clean and immaculately maintained. the church is very impressive as well. just 15 minutes from... Quiet area, green landscape, you can go there very easy. Very close from the town of Paphos. Clean, beautiful monastery. You can also visit the museum aside. Before you leave you can enjoy your coffee in the cafeteria next to the monastery.

Excellent site, the little caves with original paintings etc are very calming and take you back to a time long gone. Friendly staff, interesting small museum, well worth an hour or so out of your schedule.
