- Trevor WoodfieldRowley Regis, United Kingdom43 contributionsNeeds a good clean.I have visited Cyprus twice yearly for the last 40+ years and noticed a steady decline in the standards of cleanliness and maintenence. When the beds were under the control of private operators it was cleaned daily and the beds were well maintained and cleaned. Apart from a couple of the council attendants, the majority of the workers only get up out of their seats long enough to collect the money and then get back under their sunshades. Every day I had to wipe down the beds which were filthy and clear bits of rubbish before sitting down. The umbrellas are torn and shabby with wire struts poking through which is a health and safety hazard. The top end of the beach is being used as a building materials storage area so you have JCB's and lorries on the beach. This leaves a very poor impression with tourists. The council needs to wake up and manage staff and facilities more closely. .Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 3 October 2023
- Babie DLondon, United Kingdom4 contributionsFinikoudes BeachAmazing, warm sea in October. Perfect for children. Out kid was happy there. Sunbeds and umbrella for 2.5 euro but it can be used for whole day. Nearby a lot of pubs, restaurants. Also direct bus to main city on Cyprus.Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 17 November 2023
- Sasha Marie2,021 contributionsStunning beachAttended here in March 2023 and was not disappointed with the beach. It is stunning here with great views, a castle and numerous places to eat and drink. I love a walk along the beach, saying very little and appreciating everything around and this place was perfect.Visited March 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 3 June 2024
- Ron J6 contributionsScruffy loungers againDespite all the excellent reviews, YES the beach and surroundings are great. But year on year the loungers get dirtier and scruffier, ripped and torn. 16 years coming here and since the municipality took over they haven't been cared for. Pounce on you for your payment quick enough though. The small landlords took far better care.Visited September 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 2 September 2024
- Julie S11 contributionsCould be better! Not a bad beach, a lot of restaurants and bars to choose from. Life guard on duty and many water sports available however the beach was just dirty. Covered in cigarette butts and general rubbish which is such a shame and it really made a difference.Visited September 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 21 September 2024

Excellent blue flag beach with crystal clear water. The location is fantastic as it is near the city center with many restaurants, cafes and bars. Prices are suitable for everyone. Beach facilities are available for about five euros for a single sunbed and an umbrella. Totally recommend for families and couples!

I spent my first day in Cyprus walking up and down the promenade between this beach and McKenzie Beach — I loved this area so much better than the latter. Fantastic waves, more eateries than you can count, and always people walking, running, cycling, strolling with families ... you name it, it’s the place to be!

Just average city beach with all amenities such as toilets, changing rooms, shower and lifeguards and of course change to pop up into some restaurant or kiosk. Bed and umbrella, each 2,50€ available even in mid of November. Sandy beach quite clean, sea is clear but you have to go far into the sea for good swimming. On the whole good beach for day if you do not want to travel far away from Larnaka.

I spent the better part of three days here: twice in the afternoon and once in the morning. It seems there is always somewhere available to sit - chair and umbrella to rent are quite affordable. Only ended up having to pay one of the three days: the day I arrived in the morning!
Water is clean, and sand is generally clean.

Clean, sandy beach with very affordable prices for sun beds (2,5 EUR a unit) & parasols (2,5EUR). The beach is regularly cleaned, the staff usually arrives around 8:30-9am & that’s when you can pay, otherwise you can put a towel on the sand and enjoy the beach for free. They accepts cash & POS payments. The water isn’t deep until probably at least 50 meters, water is calf and good for the kids to play.

Beach was dirty as the staff never bothered to clean up the rubbish, nor did they ever clean the sun beds after you were finished with them so they were Sandy for the next people. Staff couldn’t even remember if you’ve paid for the subbed or not!! It’s literally their job to remember! Terrible service. The beach but also put their prices up by €0.20 when they noticed it was getting busy. Wouldn’t come here again, really gone done hill.

Long sandy beach.Cost of hiring 2 sun loungers & umbrella for the day very reasonable - about 7 euros. Decent & taps to rinse feet by toilet. Lots of cafes & restaurants & places to buy ice creams nearby. Beach slopes very gradually so have to wa a on way out to get to waist level.

We were in the Finikoudes area for Breakfast and began by having a stroll in the warm Winter Sunshine along Finikoudes Beach. Pleasant and clean with a few well hard souls taking to the water for - no doubt - a chilly swim. The odd jogger and a few locals taking advantage of the weather to get some steps in. Lovely ten/fifteen minute walk in the quietish Larnaca sunshine with the sound of the Mediterranean Sea gently lapping the shoreline and the odd plane making its descent into the nearby airport.

We were in the Finikoudes area of Larnaca and had a nice leisurely walk along the Finikoudes Beach. Despite the time of year the warm morning sunshine hadn’t deterred a number of people and there were a number of Beach Kiosks open to serve the customers. Sunbeds and Parasols were still available and the Sand was nice and clean.

Hi there,
You can definitely pray there (there is an ancient Mosque on the beach) but I am not sure about halal food.

September is still hot. I mean its 1st October today and still wearing shorts and using air conditioning.
You might get the odd shower spell though, but never cold.
