it's old , but

for one time , the decision-makers did something to keep this old piece of history , we have to thank them for that

The tower is closed off so you cannot get inside it for views from the top but the bridge that it is on gives a pretty good vista anyway! It is next to Casements du Bock and worth a wander to see the fortifications and terrain before you start your tour.

Great place to start the tour along fortifications. Great view on both sides of the outcropping on the city, river and trains. Infopoints about the history of fortifications (French and German description mostly), entry to Bock casemates (in warm part of the year). Training point for local rescue units (rock climbing). Excellent at night - to take photos of the... More

I loved the ruins of the former fort. It's a shame that they knocked it mostly down in the 1860s. What is left is fantastic.

If you are having a walk in the city this is a great place to get a view of the valley. It's a very sentimental place for me as it is where my future wife and I had our first date. If you are going to eat at Beim Siggy this is a great place to visit along the way.

This was a great ruin of a tower on the bridge a part of the Bock. It was awesome walking around the ruins of these fortifications and taking pictures. Definitely worth wandering around here.

The Dent Creuse is on the bridge close to the entrance of Casemates du Bock. You cannot get inside and this is only a remain of the former fortress, but it is still impressive.

The bridge offers some look-out points and (remains of) towers, but I found this to be the most impressive one. It is photogenic and from the top you will have great views on the surrounding area.

This ruin itself is not that spectacular. The views and walking around the Bock Casemates is fantastic. Spend a bit of time in this area. It is definitely worth it.

You will find the remains of the old fortifications. There are lots of explanations available about the origins history and destination of the buildings. It is a nice view too.
