When visiting the city this is a great meeting place. The monument is for those who fought in WWII which is why we sought it out but it also offers a great view of the city and is located near several cafes, shops, and other...More

A lot more to this monument than first meets the eye. Situated in a car park so could easily be overlooked, but worth a closer look. Tall obelisk with a beautiful golden angel/lady at the top.

an amazing structure that you see from afar - gets even better when you get up close and understand the history/story behind it - really impressive

A monument across the street from Notre Dame Cathedral. Its a little sad, but there is nothing much to the monument. There are however beautiful views from the area behind it. It commemorates those lost in various battles.

This structure is located close to the cliff where some of the unique parks and garden in Luxembourg city are located. It is walking distance from the bridge other than the city center and Notre Dame Cathedral

Most cities have this type of monument somewhere, if not several, so not exceptional. Very nice though with a Christmas market around it.

The Golden Girl/Woman apparently was taken down by Hitler. Not certain what the significance of that was and why it didn't remain where it was removed to or melted down and something really amazing put back in it's place. Such things are all over the...More
