We visited Vianden on a sunny Sunday in August. We just about managed to park as the town was very busy, however, the parking was free which was a bonus. There was a bit of a queue for the chairlift and we had to wait...More

Took the cable car up to have a drink and then to the castle. Path to castle quite challenging. Enjoyable ride with great views of castle and town

We paid for a return journey 5.30€ each. Worth the money for the views. Going down is better for photos of the town, castle & river.

A great way to get up the hills with views and open air to match with your legs dangling below. It is a little like Brecon in Wales - 4 seasons in a day. Got soaked even in July - still it gave people a...More

It's worth the ride but not very special. The view on the chateau is nice and also the panoramic view is lovely. On top there is a small restaurant, nothing special. Good facilities though.

Simple chair lift which takes you to the top of the 'mountain' Possible to walk down to the castle (steep path or via the road)

This is an ideal way of getting to the Vianden Climbing Park or the castle as the walk is quite steep. Its simple and quick giving you time to enjoy the views from above.

I would say as trees have lost leaves there would be views as you walk up. There are great views as you walk up and go into castle which is close to village. Enjoy

Well it will depend on the weather. Luxembourgish weather is quite unpredictable. However if you are lucky you can have sunny days in march.

My wife has back trouble and walks with a stick. She was OK. You do need to be able to move on two feet.
