I contacted Bil-Mini Taxi Tours on line. They were prompted at getting back to me. I told them we were 3 couples coming into Torshavn off Celebrity Infinity June 4, 2014. Wanted a tour to include Gjogy ( Northern Esturoy) and Saksun...Because these two places...More

You cannot visit at the present time. It is near the Tourist Center which will try to sell you a Tourist Welcome Card but DO NOT BUY IT. It is of no value whatsoever. The red buses are free and will take you anywhere in...More

Walking around town you will probably find the cathedral. I only managed to see it from outside as it was closed every time I walked by.

I visited the Cathedral a couple of times on my visit. Both times (once at 10:00am (I think) and once at 6:00pm) the bells were chiming and they also do a tune afterwards which was great to hear. The church was closed so I didn’t...More

Very pretty on the outside, a good location with a good view, but we tried twice during the posted opening hours to visit and found it locked and deserted both times.

Tried to visit September 19th. The sign said that it should be open from 2-6pm. Wasn't. Looks great from the outside though.

The best thing about this cathedral is the location in the lovely old part of Torshavn. The cathedral itself is very pretty but small and pretty. If you are around worth a visit

Visiting Torshavn Cathedral you will not only visit a beautiful old church but you will also have the option to either pray in peace or to just sit and think for your self. The Cathedral is a place for thoughtfulness!

A beautiful and intimate cathedral. Elaborately decorated with a clock tower bell, chime, that plays an elegant tuneful arrangement at midday and six pm.

Beautiful old wooden cathedral in central Torshavn. You can hear its delicate clock chimes all over town. Warm and bright on the inside, the painted pews give the feeling you’re on an old tram, and models of ships hang between the light fittings. Compact and...More

A pretty church in the old part of town. It's a short walk from the government buildings in Tinganes. Definitely worth a look.

Just a delightful church which was open when we were there which hasn't been our experience as we traveled around the Faroe Islands. It's a simple Scandinavian design with 3 small Viking type ship hanging from the ceiling which is normal for the Faroe islands....More

I believe you are referring to Bergen in Norway. Torshavn is in the Faroe Islands. There is presently no ferry service between the two locations. If you are referring to Bordoy, an island in the Faroes, getting to... More
