It was such a pleasure to visit this museum/gallery and learn the art of some of the Faroese artists. There is a permanent collection and also a changing temporary exhibition. I have to say that I liked more of the permanent collection.

Excellent and very hidden museum, with treasures. The painting of the artists reflected the wild and unworldly beauty of the Faroes, particularly Ruth Smith. Very few people, but the captions and display are excellently done.
Even it was my second visit to Listasavn Foroya I enjoyed every minute. I am no way an art specialist but I still enjoy the art on display.

A surprising broad collection of native artists works from the early 1900s up to modern times. Had a few sculptures both inside and outside. A good rainy day activity. Also had a kids area where they could color and do other activities.
