It was such a pleasure to visit this museum/gallery and learn the art of some of the Faroese artists. There is a permanent collection and also a changing temporary exhibition. I have to say that I liked more of the permanent collection. Some interesting artwork...More

Excellent and very hidden museum, with treasures. The painting of the artists reflected the wild and unworldly beauty of the Faroes, particularly Ruth Smith. Very few people, but the captions and display are excellently done.

A surprising broad collection of native artists works from the early 1900s up to modern times. Had a few sculptures both inside and outside. A good rainy day activity. Also had a kids area where they could color and do other activities.

This is a lovely little gallery showcasing Faroese artists. The surrounding Viðarlundin Park is also nice.

The Faroese painting is not bad at all. The museum is a good alternative to go out on a rainy day. 65 kr is fairly expensive!

The Listasavn Foroya is the Faroese national art gallery and a must-see for the tourist who is mesmerized by the raw beauty of the Faroes. For the bird, sheep, and elements theme in many of the artists is inspired by the essence of Faroes. At...More
