This is a good experience when first in Valletta to give you a good overview about how Malta came about and their very proud history

The museum is in a vaulted warehouse. There's an ancient drawbridge displayed & lots of information about various invasions. The interactive displays weren't working but it's still worthwhile visiting this free museum.

A great place to start your Malta adventure as the history of the place is explained very well here. This is also probably the best part of the fort visit.

One can enjoy this, especially in early mornings, it is amazing in sunsets and sunrise, you can see the other cities, or the city of Sliema. The views are breath taking and is a must to visit!

If you want to know how Malta's fortifications were built, this is the place to visit. Quite technical, but very informative, with good displays. Very educational!

This is one of the areas catering the knights spirit of the island. Unfortunately on the other shore there is a new steel and glass complex. This ecclectics unfortunately spoils the touristic value of Malta, but complements to the business one.

A gem of a find ...thank you fellow TripAdvisor for the recommendation. Excellent overview of the history of the fortification of Malta, starting from the Bronze Age and ending with the Second World War, with particular emphasis on the period of the Knights of Malta....More
