Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

St. Francis' Church in Valletta is another of so many beautiful churches in Malta. Each church could take an hour or more to enjoy, longer in prayer, and just a few moments in time to ponder Christ Jesus our Lord.
Four photos attached as an example of this remarkable church.

As you walk in Valletta on the Republic street , you shall this church dedicated to St. Francis of Assisi . Entrance is free of charge , however donations are always welcome.
It was build between 1598 and 1607 - so it is standing there for several hundred years.
It is interesting to visit, even if you are not a catholic , or a religious person - since paintings of Mattia Preti are decorating the church - amongst other.
Overall a very interesting church - not as famous as other churches in Valletta, but nonetheless it is worth 30 minutes of your time for a quick visit and some pictures.

I had the chance to hear two noontime performances here, both of opera singers accompanied by a pianist. The oratory is small, but the acoustics are great, and the location--right on Republic Street in Valletta--is very convenient. 5 euros for a 45 minute or so performance is very good.

This Church is in the center of Valletta, Malta. It is like many very ornate inside and although you're free to wander about and take pictures, you should be careful not to disturb any serious worshippers going about their devotions. The Interior like many Churches, Cathedrals or Basilicas are just amazing. If you are interested in churches or not it certainly is worth visiting them.
They have special classical performances in a little side chapple to collect money for the restoration. This Concert is not free but it is worth the visit. Fantastic.

The Oratory presents live concerts on Tuesday lunchtimes. We went once in 2012 and were so impressed that we made a special effort to attend two concerts on our visit in April 2013. Both concerts were excellent, featuring young sopranos with piano accompaniment. These girl singers are amateurs but both gave outstanding performances which were made even more special by the small concert room. Kimberley Marie Grech's performance on 16th April was so good that it left me literally dumbstruck for a good half hour afterwards and it was without a doubt the high spot of our holiday. In fact I'm still stunned by her talent. She is 18 or maybe 19 and a medical student with a truly fabulous voice. If she becomes as good a medic as she is a singer then there's hope for the human race. On 23rd April Christabelle Formosa, from Gozo, gave a great performance. Her voice, to my untrained ear, was a little powerful for the small venue but it would comfortably work well in a concert hall.
The Oratory is on Republic Street, not far from the City Gate and the concerts, which are put on to raise money for the Oratory, are fantastic value at 8 Euro.

An unassuming looking church that provides a quiet respite from the crowds. Come in, enjoy the Baroque style, and stay for prayer and meditation.

We were thrilled to be able to enjoy such a high quality program performed by Silvio and Ramona Zammit in historic surroundings. They performed works that he had arranged.
The church has a lunchtime concert series as a fundraiser. There is just a small announcement posted outside for the upcoming show. 8 euros per ticket

We arrived on a night flight so the wise thing to do was to rent a car drive to Valletta (parking is 3 EURO FOR THE WHOLE DAY JUST OUTSIDE THE CITY) and the exquisite music performance at the St Francis Oratory on the main street.(Republic St.) Thoroughly enjoyable experience in a beautiful chapel.

The St. Francis is located in the center of Valletta and is famous for its concerts, but also for the beautifully painted ceiling.

Thanks
