Strange how these entrances can garner a response but as entrances go this one deserves a review. High and imposing walk way which hides the beyond.

By entering the Mdina gate, it's like walking into a different era: narrow streets, carriages with horses passing by, it's just such a unique experience.

You need to visit Mdina at least once in your life time, the silent city, offers great things to do and watch, the gate is really nice especially in the evening when it is lit!

With its history and architecture, Mdina remains as dazzling as ever with its quiet streets. No wonders it is the Silent City.

The gate to the old city. Beautiful scenery, gardens and all the time carriages with big horses! What an experience!

The bus stop was conveniently located in front of these gates. They were beautifully preserved and your mind couldn't help but wonder what this place was like so many years ago. I couldn't wait to walk through them and explore the rest of Mdina!

20 years since we last visited and we found Mdina and its main gates as impressive as ever. We visited on a beautiful, sunny day and the whole place is so beautiful, but the gateway and entrance is especially awe inspiring.

Just enchanting, ok it's a gateway but still lovely. Just walk across the bridge or even take the pony and carriage ride.
