Very beautifull place

Great place to visit and have lunch overlooking the bay. Would have had 5 stars except for the power station and container port in the background....just ignore them

This was initially a small quaint fishing village but has now developed into a more serious fishing business. Still many cafes along the bay to have lunch and is worth spending an hour or two in.

We drove down from St Julian's (doesn't take long) to have a look at this fishing village on the recommendation of some people we met - It was worth the trip! Very quaint, traditional village with plenty of restaurants / bars around the harbour. Nice feel about the place and although it was overcast when we visited, I can imagine... More

Took the hop on hop off bus trip and stopped off in this lively traditional fishing village in Malta ..Small market on the harbour front for holiday souvenirs and plenty of places for a sit and relax with a bite to eat .... Very picturesque and we'll worth a visit no matter what time of year..

What a lovely bay with kind fishermen. In February (when I visited), it was before high season in fishing. So many boats were still being prepared for March-April high season. Lovely atmosphere around the bay and with a lovely souvenir market. Ideal place for a cosy fish lunch!

Marsaxlokk is still a fishing village with many of the traditional, colourful boats moored in the bay and lots of activity as they come and go. There are plenty of reasonably priced restaurants along the sea front and there also seems to be some sort of a market more than once a week. Try hard to ignore the power station... More

This is picture book stuff if you can avoid the power station located a few miles away which blotts the horizon. Don't let it put you off visiting however as the working fishing harbour with all the quaint traditional boats is a must see. The quayside has a small market selling crafts and there are numerous cafe / restaurants with... More

When I travel back in time, I am a five year old listening to my father, an ace pilot in the Defence Service, speak of his trips to Malta during his bachelor days. So it was a dream come true that trip to Malta last month. The burst of colours on the blue waters of the Mediterranean, reminiscent of a... More

A great fish market on a Sunday - very popular with tourists and can be very crowded- expect to wait up to an hour as the buses from Valetta fill up very quickly and the lines are long- sadly many tourists don't know how to queue politely. Once you get there-Lots and lots of fabulous food options but again go... More

A real Maltese village and attraction especially on a Sunday. On this day of the week one meets the open market where fresh fish is on display and if you are intrigued by this, everybody will enjoy and have fun where one also finds several wares to obtain a good bargain. The several resturantsaround the bay will make your day... More
