Highly recommend if you like fish: eat, catch, buy and find a nice suverires. is good to go earlley morning, all is fresh. I was enjoyed also Luzzu - the traditional maltese boats, they are very beatyfill. Unfortunatley is operating only sundys.

There is some produce but it’s also very much a market of tat! Don’t waste your time with it. It’s nothing special to see. I do enjoy a good market abroad where they showcase their produce but this one...there’s nothing to see. It’s crowded, narrow...More

Don’t waste your time here. Not authentic - 2 fish stands and nothing of interest to tourists. All they are selling is fake shoes and junk.

We are on a weeklong tour and we decided to spend a couple of hours there as we were interested to see the village as well as the Sunday’s market (especially the fish market). Unfortunately the overall experience is far from expectations. In particular, the...More

We had hoped for an authentic marked, too bad.. there were about 4 stands selling fresh fish, the rest was all for tourists. We went there early and by 10 am (when we had a cup of coffee) the buses came.. don't go there after...More

Busy, bustling and full of my favourite kind of stuff to buy - "stuff we do not need" (obviously not just fish). It gets busy getting there so maybe worth starting early - the buses (from A6 and additional from A5 stops in Valletta -...More

The place on the trip advisor does not have very high ratings and in a moment you will write why. For me, the trip from Marsaskala to Marsaxlokk was great. The walk itself will take you 1-2 hours. Along the way you can enjoy beautiful...More

We took the bus from Valetta as it seemed a better choice than the car. It’s an extremely crowded market that mostly sells the normal tat that you could buy in England. No craft or local artisan stuff. Trying to get something to eat is...More

Not a all day locals place for fish and veg, though I am sure that most of that business is done before 9am, but the majority is items of tat that can be picked up anywhere... anyway, still came away with a t-towel... Plenty of...More

As it was recommended we took the public bus to the village, it takes about 30 min and is good because there is little parking there. The place is very busy on Sunday with a lot of stands with all kind of stuff. It is...More

I imagine the sooner you get there the better, not sure exactly what time it opens. I don't think you can leave the fish as I don't think it is open all day. Best to ask at the hotel or tourist information. Enjoy.
