Wonderful owner, friendly animals, beautiful location
Aug. 2020
Went there in the summer, Victor is so lovely, tells you the story of all the animals. He provides them with such a wonderful loving environment where they are really understood and valued, their needs are met, and they're not expected to serve the ideals of human vanity. The horses are happy in his care, and the other volunteers. You really shouldn't miss this if you're in Gozo.

Pony walking
Jul. 2020 • Family
We visited the farm yesterday. Kids really enjoyed grooming and walking the ponies. They also enjoyed watching all the other animals on the farm - cats, dogs, pigs, goats, sheep, geese, ducks, chickens etc. A very child friendly activity. Recommended to families with young kids.

Peaceful experience and friendly people
Feb. 2020
My husband and I visited Dreams of Horses this weekend. We are animal lovers and were curious when a friend told us about the farm. We were there early on a Sunday morning with lovely weather. It's a very quiet, peaceful farm surrounded by hills. Most of the animals, from the cats to the horses are rescues and you can see just how happy they are to be there. All the animals live together in peace. It's beautiful to witness cats sleeping and eating with the chickens. The cats come to you when you call them, they are so friendly and love the attention. Their dog Lucky took a particular liking to my husband, as she followed him around the farm, rolling upside down waiting for belly rubs. We were shown around the farm by Victor's son, who is very knowledgeable about the horses. He was friendly, answered all our questions and you can see and hear the passion, love and care that he has for the horses. They depend on our donations as they receive no government help to run this therapy farm that helps people in need. We had a great time and will most definitely be back!

A Great Experience
Sep. 2019 • Couples
We met with the Owners Daughter who gave us an excellent tour of this place. She gave us great information and it was wonderful to see the Animals so well taken care of. We especially enjoyed the baby goat who was full of fun and hilarious. A great place to visit. Victor is doing such a wonderful job. Well done to all the Volunteers as well. You have to visit when in Gozo.

A transformational experience!
Jul. 2019 • Solo
Victor is a true horse whisperer. We visited the farm twice – once together for a brief tour, and once when my partner went alone for one-to-one training with Victor for a half-day. Here's what she wrote when the day was over:

"His farm is full of happy rescued animals who found their home there to the rest of their natural lives (besides horses there are cats, dogs, donkeys, ponies, goats. sheep, pigs, chickens, turkeys and ducks…) and I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone that cares and understands animals so much.

"His two pigs' names are Ham and Bacon in order to teach kids where their meat really comes from…

"His farm offers therapy programs in Equine Assisted Learning & Animal Assisted Therapy.

"I was introduced to the horse named Galip and Victor was explaining how to read the horse’s body language and how to communicate with him without words. While stroking him the horse relaxed and gave me the signs of friendship and trust. The feeling I felt was of elevation and of total calm at the same time. And this feeling is still with me as I write this."

So it's fair to say it made a deep impression!

The Farm with Equine Facilitated Wellness.
Apr. 2019 • Family
Horses have been utilized as a therapeutic aid since the ancient Greeks used them for those people who had incurable illnesses. The claimed benefits of therapeutic riding have been dated back to 17th-century literature where it is documented that it was prescribed for gout, neurological disorder, and low morale.

Equine-assisted therapy encompasses a range of treatments that involve activities with horses and other equines to promote human physical and mental health. These are used for individuals with and without special needs, including those with physical, cognitive and emotional issues. Dreams of Horses Farm offers therapeutic riding which is used by disabled individuals who ride horses to relax and to develop muscle tone, coordination, confidence, and well-being. The movement of the horse affects a rider's posture, balance, coordination, strength and sensorimotor systems while the horse is controlled by a horse handler.

Situated in Ramla Valley on the outskirts of Xaghra Village, Gozo., the Farm provides horse-assisted activities to children and adults with the utmost loving care. Each and every horse has a background story to tell for all have been rescued from one fate or another. These horses are calm, even-tempered, gentle, serviceably sound, and well-trained both under saddle and on the ground. As most equine-assisted therapy is done at slow speeds, an older horse that is not in its athletic prime is sometimes used.

This is a Farm to visit. It lies on the outskirts of Xaghra Village, possibly the earliest inhabited part of Gozo, being home to the Ġgantija megalithic temples, the Xagħra Stone Circle, as well as natural underground features such as Xerri's Grotto and Ninu's Cave. It is surrounded by fertile valleys and some of the best agricultural lands in Gozo. No wonder the area is so peaceful and relaxing. Entrance is very cheap and it is beyond me how the owner can keep up with such a huge farm with so many horses, ducks, and hens. I feel a reasonable donation would be a financial gain towards the running of the Farm, as no Government or Private enterprise has given a helping hand.

Fantastic day
Jan. 2019 • Family
We visited today and I cannot recommend visiting here enough. Victor is so passionate and knowledgeable about his animals. My daughter had so much fun learning about how to approach and stroke horses, holding the baby goats, seeing all the different types of horses and then finished with a ride on a horse. It's also great helping to support all the hard work Victor does.

We were at Dreams of Horses farm with 10 kids (age 7-13years) and all of them loved it (even us) Viktor and his place is amazing and its story is hearthwarming. Supporting abused and disable children is a nobel goal. We recommend this place with anyone who is with kids or looking for a peaceful and lovely place.
