Located in an unattractive modern concrete building close to the center this place, still it should not to be missed. Old photographs, folks art and manuscripts dating back to 10th century - it is a must for every visitor to Svaneti. Who misses it misses...More

Small, a regional museum is a good introduction to Svaneti as you will find out history of the region and see many old items created in Svaneti region, costs only 7 GEL, totally worth

We love museum, and enjoyed this one, which is quite small, but is just on the way, and has nice views. By chance, when we were there, a group of folk singers did a surprise show, it was amazing.

This gem of a museum houses a lovely collection of icons and local artifacts. Best to go after you've visited one or two churches so you can understand the context of the art. It's great for a day off from hiking. Highly recommend.

This museum is one of the best in Georgia, with very old collection of icons and lithographically interesting subjects. Besides, view from museum roof is amazing!

When I arrived I thought the photo exhibition was all there was? I was so wrong! The museum exhibits are actually behind the doors to the left (with no sign on!) so don't think its just the middle bit (like I did). My favourite exhibit...More

For Georgian standards, this is impeccable. (considering their national museum in Tbilisi is extremely tiny!) The exhibition outstanding in its own right. A bit pricey for its size but the only place in Mestia that offers a nice modern place for some indoor activities with...More
