This is one of three museums in town and I recommend that you start here where you can buy a ticket for all three sites at a lower price than each one individually. They are all small museums and can easily be seen in half...More

We popped in here, it's a nice small museum my 8 year old enjoyed it. Lots of art and different rock. The video upstairs kept them transfixed for 15mins as it was all about the 2010 volcano

We arrived 45 mins before closing time and was worried that we would be rushed. It was quite pricey for what it offered so 2 of the family decided to not go in. In fact we were done within 30 mins.

First of all, note this is a museum *about* volcanoes as expressed through art and hands-on rock samples. There is no active volcano here or anything like that. I found it very interesting, especially the rock samples. Most of the art wasn't o my taste,...More

Small museum, but very good exhibits and artwork. Attendant also helped us with areas to explore on the peninsula.
