We were scheduled for a stop at Vik after lunch. We indeed did stop at Vik but only to patronize a winter clothing and souvenir shop, Icewear. This shop is huge with everything you would want to stay warm or to remember Iceland by. Prices...More

This store in Vik is a good source for warm clothing, camping gear and souvenirs. I think a lot of buses must stop here because there are huge bathroom facilities. There is a nice Kronan Grocery store next door with excellent chocolate cookies. Also, there...More

We were just here in April and it seemed like the building is quite new. There's also a grocery store in the same building. There is a huge section with your usual touristy souvenirs - shot glasses, mugs, tacky t-shirts, etc. But there is also...More

We were in Iceland last December and I saw a brand of mountain boots I loved but I can't remember the name! Can you help me to search them on the internet???

If you're looking for some cheaper gifts, Vikurprjon wool factory attached to Icewear is a great place to find some cheaper items compared to Reykjavik. There's also a pretty good Icelandic restaurant, grocery store and coffee shop all inside the same building.

I went in for Icewear clothing and was surprised about the additional and well stocked gift department. Goof thing: the gift collection was really special, as such not your ordinary snow-globes and magnates. In the same building you also find a Krónan supermarket. For sure...More

I found things here that I didn't see anywhere else. You can go upstairs and watch the items being made. Prices were ok, still expensive, but cheaper than other places. Very nice shop.

They are remodeling/ building a nice facility to showcase the wool knitting (by machine) here. It is also a good place to find the outdoor gear "you should have brought", rainwear, fleece, boots, puffies, cartridges for your backpacking stove etc. Next door is a good...More

They are reviewing everything... I guess they start seeing the interest that tourists show in buying clothes. You like the style of these clothes or you don't. You can also have a look of how they manufacture the wool clothes. As usual it is expensive...More

Had to get a new waterproof coat and they had a large selection to choose from. Like many things in Iceland, it can be pricey. Sales clerk took the time to explain the VAT refund process that was available to us. Icewear is nice stuff.
