As home to the longest established parlaiment on the planet this is historically a big hitter. Being British I have heard Westminster described as the mother of all parlaiments and held up as something of an historical model for others - when in fact the...More

We first saw the Parliament Building on our walking food tour. It's a beautiful building, and if not too crowed you can get a great shot of it from the lawn across the street. People we hanging out and having picnics. We didn't take a...More

Parliament House houses the Icelandic legislature. It is small, and has a lovely, though tiny, garden behind the building.

Still functioning. Older thanGreat Britain. Older than US Congress and older than Russia's Duma. There is history here!

The stone building was in a historic and pretty part of Reykjavik and it had no signage to indicate what it was and therefore could have been overlloked. It is worth a visit.

This is perhaps the smallest parliament house I've ever seen. Very simple building with no sign. The garden at the back is quite nice though.
