This was my first time at a local pool in Iceland and I was glad I went. It was about a 20 minute walk from our hotel in central Reykjavik. There's a 900 ISK charge if you want to use the indoor locker room. I...More

This was one of two pools we visited during our trip to Iceland and we enjoyed the relaxation and atmosphere of the pools. There’s something very relaxing about laying in a heated pool with the sky above and freezing air temperature, it’s not even that...More

This is my favorite pool in Reykjavík, even more so now that I'm a senior (67+): no admission cost. A variety of hot tubs and swimming options, along with a sauna.

Go here. Don’t debate it, don’t compare other options, just go here. It’ll define your holiday. It’s that good. This is as goood as it gets for authentic travel experiences. It’s amazing. And don’t sweat the naked shower aspects of it either. Take it from...More

A shock to the system from the showers in the building to 7' air outside, into the 42' hot tub & rain on your head. But exciting! Would definitely do again.

Well, I should tell you that it's terrible.. don't go there! But that would be a lie. This is in my neighbourhood, I want to keep it for my self. But sharing is caring... it's great.

Imagine a cold wind whipping across the city of Reykjavik - a break in the weather allowed us to walk from the apartment to this local thermal swimming pool complex. In true Icelandic style it's practical and basic but delightful. Locals walk, cycle there, bathe, grab...More

These public pools were located a short walk from our accommodation. We visited twice during our stay. Very clean showers and change rooms and lots of lockers and change rooms. It was quite busy on our first visit, but still lots of room.
