Their main store is sort of a mess. Maybe it was just super busy the day that we visited? We visited Reykjavik for 7 days and the only rude person who we encountered works at their main store. Every other person that we met in Iceland could not have been more pleasant and helpful. Their other store is nearby and... More

If you are planning on purchasing some wool in Iceland I think this is the best place to do so! My wife and I bought three Icelandic wool shirts here: they a beautiful, warm, and handknitted! Also, the service was adequate and the ladies that work there let me search through all the models they had :) I strongly recommend... More

I probably hit it on a bad day because I have friends who have loved it. The selection in medium was small and the people there weren't that helpful.

An Icelandic sweater is a sought after prize of a visit to Iceland. Pay a visit to the hand knitter association. The staff was friendly and helpful selecting the right size and style. And you know you are getting the real deal as they are knitting them in the store. The sweater I got may be the warmest sweater I... More

I was not leaving Iceland without a beer mitten or hand-knitted sweater. Thanks to this store, I was able to leave with both (plus regular mittens and a knit hat). Great selection of styles and really a variety of price ranges. Staff is helpful, too. And depending on what you spend, you can recoup some of your tax dollars when... More

My sister in law has wanted a real Icelandic hand-made sweater ever since we came here last year. She was so happy with the selection and service at this shop, and she came away with a sweater she will cherish the rest of her life. Easy to get to, parking was plentiful. I think this is the main shop, and... More

If you're a knitter (or you know one) this place is a must-visit. There are plenty of hand knit lopipeysa to choose from - they're not cheap, but you are paying for the time and skill it takes to knit these, and they will last a long time. But the real treats are down in the lower level - the... More

A wonderfully random shop. Loads of well made items. We did wish that the cut of clothing was more contemporary which would have taken items from souvenir to beautiful. Nice to pop in and browse and worth supporting in terms of community engagement.

If you are a knitter and want to make your own Icelandic sweater....visit here!!! Ther is a huge selection of wool in all thicknesses as well as a large array of pattern books in Icelandic and English. Do not leave Iceland without looking. Prices are far less than in the US for the same wool.
