In late March, when we visited, there was little in bloom. It was still a beautiful place to walk through, though. There is a small indoor cafe on the grounds that is beautiful. While it was open in the morning for breakfast when we first...More

Really nice place to explore. Discovered by accident with access via the Reykjavik campsite. Adjacent park with hot spring which was originally where clothes were washed. Lovely Flora cafe in the gardens with a coffee cake soup etc.

We came to the gardens on a grey drizzly August day, and headed to Cafe Flora a bistro in a greenhouse. It was wonderful both as an environment and as a culinary delight. Excellent salmon salad and bean soup with breads. We came back later...More
