Sorry I missed the Louisa Matthaisdottir exhibit last year. Not much to see during my visit. Nice exhibition space. Could have been great. At least the staff and the gift shop were worth the visit.

Two sides of the building had two different exhibitions, both great! As everywhere in Reykjavík, good shop. The best however was the cafe in the middle. We enjoyed to drink tea and to speak about Iceland. very recommended!

Half the museum is the permanent home of the highly detailed organic paintings of Jóhannes S. Kjarval . That half makes the museum worth a visit. The other half is changing exhibits. Inbetween a coffee/dessert shop that had more business than either of the galleries...More
