It is a ultra church built with excellent taste. Using the minimum of décor can also be fascinating. We did not lucky enough to have heard the organ played, but it is quite imposing.

Less imposing than the more modern cathedral, but with far more history, this church is well worth a visit. Quite lovely in its simplicity.

Compared with the Hallgrim Church this old church is very small, but worth a stop to see how the place of worship looked like for the Icelanders.

This church is perfect for a quiet moment or prayer time. Appears peaceful and a bit understates but beautiful in its simplicity.

We experienced the Holy Ressurrection liturgy there. The place is friendly and all the people from Russian Orthodox Church of Iceland were perfect.

I was the only person visiting at that time. I hope more tourists stop by to step inside. it was simple but nice and very quiet.

Next to the modern, grand Hallsgrimkirkja, this little church is understated. Quite beautiful, tidy, reminding me almost of architecture i might see in New England. Technically where the bishop sits, making it the (Lutheran) Cathedral.

For me, cathedral is something majestic, something byzantic. This is just a church. Nothing more. Disappointng. Good location, nice church, but to call it a cathedral? Not my cup of tea.

A small but pretty unassuming church which is actually the Cathedral. The inside is more like a village church but very attractive at the same time.
