This is a wonderful experience to visit the Church whilst the organ is being played is a bonus. It is a very plain building with no icons or coloured windows built in the Lutheran style, the pulpit is really amazing, this is a must stop...More

Cathedral in the city centre was built in 1796 from stone and the roof is corrugated iron. This was built when Reykjavik was just a collection of farms, warehouses and few town houses. This building overlooks "the pond" which attracts loads of Birdlife and information...More

Both on the central high-point of the city and with a commanding height, the Cathedral stands out from most any point in the city. It has a sweeping look from the outside and the best view of the city from its tower. The simple central...More

Very pretty older church in downtown Reykjavik. It's worth a peek and brief visit inside if you are downtown already. Should only take a few minutes to look around and warm up.

Small state run church in the center of the tourist district. Nice place to warm up. Nice on the outside, particle and not easy to see from the outside.

This seems to be an authentic church, not meant for tourists. It's a nice walk uphill, the curch itself is surrounded by a school playground. Sincere atmosphere inside.
