I recently came back from an iceland trek. The trek went to the thorsmork valley. We stayed in a hut and hiked each day. In the evening we would look to see if the northern lights were visible. Most of the trek was cloudy and snowy which was great. At night however the cloud cover made it impossible to see... More

We did the 4 day Laugavegur Trek, staying in hostels. Very glad we chose this option and not tents, as the tent dwellers were suffering with the cold in mid August. The cost was exorbitant for what you would expect in other countries for the level of service, but apparently normal for Iceland. For example, the bunk beds were two... More

I chose this tour as a way to see a variety of beautiful landscapes that Iceland is home to. The trek was excellent, it was well-organised, safe but challenging, and a great way to meet people from all over the world, even our guides! Whom I'd expected to be from Iceland but instead were from Belgium and Slovakia. Both our... More

If scenery is priceless, then the 6-day Laugavegur and Fimmvorduhals Trek lives up to its reputation for stark, wild and unbelievably beautiful landscapes. Hiking through lava fields, geothermal colors, venting hot springs, mountains so green they bend your eyeballs and glaciers trying to peak through the clouds is truly a magical, once-in-a-lifetime experience. But if you’re concerned about what value... More

We did a late season trek to avoid the summer crowds but the weather turned cold and wet. Despite this, TI made sure we had a great trip. Communication was good and transport logistics all went smoothly. All the food is cooked at the huts by the TI guide and we made this more difficult by having vegetarian/gluten requirements. Our... We recently traveled to Iceland looking to experience a little bit of everything, from hiking to food tours to the culture. We decided to do the 1 day hike with Trek Iceland (Landmannalaugar) and we had an amazing time. Did the 9-days-trekking tour with Trek Iceland starting August 5th - and it was awesome! No need so say something about nature & landscape - Iceland speaks of itself. But we had a fantastic guide and group and except 1,5 rainy days we were lucky! Unfortunately we did not make it over the icefield due to weather conditions and the... More

I did the day tour Trek at Landmannalaugar and it was simply breathtaking. This was my first time trekking and our tour guide, Martin, was fantastic; he was very knowledgeable about the area and I'm sure I speak on behalf of the group when I say that he made us feel very safe. Walking through lava fields really makes you... More

I went on the 6-day trek (beginning August 29, 2016) - Iceland is indescribably beautiful! She was patient and managed our group of 16 with ease. She gave us a lot of... More
