It is not pretty, the sand is rough and it is normally windy so bring your jacket. However, in sunny summer days (3 or 4 a year) you'll find out why this place is so popular, families go and bathe in the hot pot area...More

I didn't go in to water. But on a cold day many adults and kids playing in water. Also big hot tub. So come prepare with swimwear and enjoy the day. Free parking and entrance. 30 minutes if no water activity.

After visiting the Perlan I headed to the geothermal beach, but I had no idea there was a hot tub spa there! But I was disappointed to find out that it was closing at the time I arrived (1400), and wouldn't reopen until 1900. According...More

This place is amazing! At the strongest moments of a 50 kph wind storm, with snow/ice driving into our faces, we went to Nautholsvik and had a fantastic time. Only locals were with us, and the folks running the place were, I think, amazed that...More

Visited here late morning one Friday for something else to do. Arguably it was worth visitng just for the walk to it along the coast to the west of it around the airport. When we arrived the hot pool was relaxing to sit in but...More

We stopped by the beach while out for a run, so didn't actually go in the pools. The beach itself is nice, but the view from the trails above is even better. There are both gravel pedestrian trails (crushed volcanic rock) and well-maintained bike paths...More

This is probably the best thing we did on our trip! and it only cost 600isk which is so cheap. Crazy when you think a baguette is about 900isk. We were not really sure what to expect with this but we read recent tripadvisor reviews...More

The way I read the ad (description), my impression was that it is a year-around attraction, which was definitely the case. I cannot say much about Summer, but it is definitely not a Winter thing.

An amazing experience - come early if you want to avoid the crowds. When we left at 12:30pm, the hot tub was already getting pretty near full. Bring your own towel, and be aware that there are no lockers. You can opt to put your...More

The beach was chilly though the sand was BOILING FROM THE GEOTHERMAL. They dug up a loaf of bread from the boiling hot geothermal sand. Then we went lathered butter on it and feasted on the lightest tastiest bread ever.

Does anyone know if items as big as luggage can be left behind the counter for a fee? Looking for a good stop while waiting to check in and will have bags. Thanks!

They can accommodate small bags but there no real room for full size luggage. Check the hours of operation as they are limited and the facilities are quite small. Cheers

I think it will be open because it's a free attraction, so there's no possibility to close it. But I think water will be so cold altough the geotermal way
