I actually live like 1 km from it and walking there is such a nice thing. Then coming to that welcoming yellow sand beach is even greater. Icelandic weather might rarely match beach weather but you know, you don't even need that weather to enjoy.

We visited mid April,,,The place was empty, And the water was cold. So we were not temped at all. Sounds like a summer place only to me

Really nice steam bath on the beach, people go from the cold sea back into the hot bath but I couldn’t cope with the cold sea so I just sat in the bath for hours. So relaxing. 600isk to gain access, definitely worth it.

Amazing hotpot for sitting in the pool directly on the Fjord with possibility to jumb into the very cold ocean. Very good facilities for bath Service.

Just outside Reykjavik (and convenient if you've got a couple of hours before your flight) this place is probably the opposite to the blue lagoon! With a long but shallow 'hot pot' with a great view of the sea, when we were there, we were...More

Rest your weary body after your walks in the stunning countryside. Sit in the naturally heated water then plunge into the ice cold bay

There is a locker room for showering and changing. It is right on a beach and many people also went into the water with their swim shoes and gloves. There is a sauna. The pool itself is shallow and warm and looks out onto the...More

We went here after landing in Reykjavik, feeling wired and tired after a 6 hour overnight flight. It helped to have a car to get there, though bike, bus or a 30 minute or so surreal hike past a small airport can get you there...More

Yes, plenty, there's parking at the marina and even if that was full, there's parking at the university a 5 mins walk away.

They can accommodate small bags but there no real room for full size luggage. Check the hours of operation as they are limited and the facilities are quite small. Cheers
