For whatever reason this is not as big a tourist route as the others but in my opinion was much better. Take a day trip from the city and visit the peninsula.

Landscapes like the ones on this peninsula are pretty rare. Desolate, lava strewn fields with a backdrop of craggy or smooth mountains, a glacier, countless streams and waterfalls, horses, sheep and the odd goat. On the coast there are birds galore which you can get...More

I'm sure it was an amazing tour, especially since it was sunny and warm the day I was booked for, if you were picked up successfully. I had booked this full-day trip in advance for my last full day in Iceland. They told me to...More

This tour was the first tour we did on our week-long vacation in Iceland, and it was one of the best! It's probably much more green in Spring/Summer, but I found it just as lovely in the winter! Our guide was very good and gave...More

What a wonderful tour! Our guide Charlie was excellent. He was talkative, knowledgable and very friendly. This is a beautiful tour filled with lots of nature. I highly recommend it.

I basically went on this trip to see Kirkjufell, which was amazing and made my day! But everything else was brilliant. Our tour guide and driver were both lovely (I'm so sorry I can't remember their names but I went on the 1st March), more...More

Really angry that we weren't informed this trip was cancelled, no-one can control the weather but not letting us know it was cancelled was unacceptable. Getting up before dawn & hanging around in the freezing cold & unable to get through by phone, we only...More

We did this tour with Reykjavik Excursions. This was a long day tour leaving at 8am and arriving back to Reykjavik around 8pm. We did this on our last day in Iceland and I would highly recommend this tour. The coach made a half hour...More

Perhaps this place would have been best suited in summer. When we visited in late January the weather was miserable. Rainy, cold and with very poor visibility we hardly saw any of the sights as advertised on the website of gateway to Iceland. On hindsight...More

If they're offering the tour then I would say yes. Any tour is worth doing. You'll never find perfect weather in Iceland. I went in Sept and most of my tour days had rain.
