This vendor is horrible. A partner agency informed several US citizens that a scheduled bus was cancelled. Had to incur a taxi fare to get to our location. Upon asking for a refund from this vendor, they find every excuse in the book to not give a refund. Have had to file reports with various oversight agencies and the bank.

we made the reservation through get your guide : and we had a horrible experience, according to the instructions we had to be at the chosen pick up point from 4:00 to 4:30, where a small bus would come and take us to the departure station for the airport. we were waiting 30 minutes in front of "Kex Hotel" and no one came to pick us up. later we found out (from the guy at the reception of the hotel next door) that the bus stopped 700 meters from us (not at the pick-up point indicated) and it was a big bus, with a sign saying "blue lagoon" . very little empathy from the driver (a women) who saw us with our bags in front of the kex hotel stop and didn't tell us anything. finally, since we hadn’t time, we were able to take a taxi and pay €168. Moreover, we made the claim denying the facts and making it impossible for us to write our review through the app

This company doesn't employ the friendliest people. Asking a question and getting an answer may be a challenge when in Reykjavik. Dealing with them online was very pleasant and they always answered our questions and made sure we understood eveything. When you got there, while efficient, not friendly at all. Flight got in 1 hr earlier than anticipated. We were very tired. We went to their kiosk and the young girl there told us where to go and that the bus was leaving in 1/2 hr. We left, found the bus and as we arrived we asked the lady there if that was the bus. She just grunted something and turned her back to us, spoke to the driver, who then closed the bus doors and drove off. We asked the "nice" lady again about the bus and we were given another grunt. Not once did she answer a question besides her grunt or yea or no. She also didn't not look at us when grunting. She spent most of her time looking down on her phone. She really did NOT want to be there this morning. Another bus came right away and we sat and waited another 1/2 hr until we left. Lucky, the "nice" lady did NOT ride along with us. As long as I don't have to see her again, I would use this company again. The cost of the transfer addition to hotel, was WAY too high. Ride was literally accross the street. Not knowing that, we bought the tickets. Not even 5 minutes.

Overall, Airport Direct is good transport company to go with for transfer from Keflavik to Reykjavik. We arrived from an early flight. I had to find the Airport Direct deck to present my voucher for printed ticket of my transfer. The agent directed us to outside where the bus depo. There were several buses parked at the depo. No clear marking/signage as to which one we should board. We had to asked a couple of travelers which one or where they were going to figure out the bus we should take for Airport Direct to Reykjavik. The bus ride was fine. The seats were average, a little worn. The one plus that was good, Airport Direct had pre-arranged mini-bus transfers to various locations throughout Reykjavik. We were worried that we would be on our own to figure out which "City Bus" we need to take to our hotel. It was a short ride to our selected stop. I would use Airport Direct again. The cost is similar, a couple of Euro cheaper, to other transfer provider.

Taking the airport shuttle to Reykjavik beats taking the expensive taxi. Reykjavik is about 45 miles from the airport. The bus leaves every hour so even if your flight is delayed, you can take the next bus. You get dropped off first in their terminal and transfers to smaller vans as the city do not allow big busses in the city center where most hotels are.

Great way to get from airport to hotel in Reykavik. Drivers were courteous and cheerful
Price was right and took about 45 min as advertised. Only slight thing was our hotel shuttle bus was full with people/luggage but we got off first so we were happy

I booked at 4:15 at the airport desk for 5:15 van and was given a receipt/ticket that listed departure at 6:15. The bored teen behind the desk said the time on the receipt didn’t matter. I was not offered a round trip option. As I left the terminal at 5:05 to walk to the van that had arrived and was waiting to go to Reykjavik, a man came after me and told me that the 5:15 trip had been canceled and the next one would be in an hour - 6:15. I went next door to the Flybus desk and was offered a round trip price, drop off and pick up at my hotel, on a full sized tour coach. It appeared a much more professional operation. The coach was leaving immediately so I didn’t have time to ask for refund from Airport Direct so I ate the cost. Maybe there would have been a 6:15, or maybe I would have been pushed back to 7:15? I’ll never know.

I was told I would be picked up at 8 and be dropped off at the Blue Lagoon at 9, spend 9 to 11:30 there and catch a 12 pm bus to the airport.

This was fabricated.

I was picked up at 8:30 and dropped off at the Lagoon at 10:45. I had to wait in line to check in, drop my luggage and then shower. This left me a whole 30 minutes to enjoy the lagoon. I didn't have time to use my tickets for a mask or drink. Constantly watched the time so that I didn't stay past 11:30. Shame on you for taking my money, promising something you could not deliver and then nit offer any type of apology or compensation. This was what I came to Iceland for...the Blue Lagoon.This was not relaxing or the experience I had dreamed of!
