You can just come here for some quick photos. Also it is along a nice scenic walk around the ocean! Definitely check it out if you are in the area (and have some extra time)

One of the top attractions is a small statue? What am I missing? I'm struggling to think of what to say...4.5 stars for this? Perhaps people became delirious when they realised it was actually free!

Very nice modernistic interpretation of the Viking boats used to settle Iceland. Clean well proportioned lines. Worth a look if near the harbour in Reykjavik

My husband and I enjoyed a walk along the water to see the Solar. It is such a cool piece with an amazing natural backdrop.

Modernist steel artwork, embodying the link between modern and historic Iceland. A good photo opportunity with the sea in the background.

Our hotel was very close to this sculpture and many others . It was a very nice and easy stroll around the many varied sculptures and monuments of the city

An interesting little artwork of a ship and oarsmen with raised arms- or at least that's what I saw. There were many visitors who posed with big smiles and their arms raised as well!

Solfataras Sculpture is striking! Perfectly situated. You can stop to see it as you walk along the pier. Bring your camera!

This artwork is right along the bay and actually has a pull-off to park if you are driving. Try going at sunset for a different more colorful shot. We walked by it several times and there is almost always someone posing for a picture.

You pass by this as you walk along the Reykjavik sea shore. While there, look to the south and get a good view of the lovely opera building.

That´s not true. In December in Reykjavik you have at least 4 hours of light. You can go to the page timeanddate, and check there the sunrises and the sunsets. Hope it help you.
