I saw this one while driving by in a tour bus. It is a sharp rise from the lava field and had snow on the top. A nice view.

One of the first sights you will see on the drive from Keflavik Airport to Reykjavik, Mount Keilir is a simple little gem of a mountain that is definitely worth a photo.

We saw this on a tour when returning back into Reykjavik. Snow topped peak that looks stunning. The tour bus couldn't stop for photo opportunities which was a bit of a shame. Such a fantastic sight and a contrast against the other mountains.

One of the first dramatic things you will see on the ride to Reykjavik after you leave Keflavik airport, Mount Keiir is a striking introduction to the amazing things there are to see on the roads ahead.

This was the breathtaking view on our drive around the Reykjanes Peninsula. It was amazing to be driving in the shadow of this mighty snow covered mountain. We approached it as the sun was rising.

You leave dreary Keflavik International Airport and you make your way towards Reykjavik and then you see Mount Keilir appear. It serves as a beautiful introduction to the scenery that you are about to experience in the rest of the tiny island nation. Clearly visible...More
