We followed two humpback whales around as they enjoyed their lunch. Great views. Knowledgeable staff. Good hot chocolate and pastry. A great excursion!

We visited Husavik in the beginning of August and took Big Whale Safari & Puffins tour by Gentle Giants. It took approx. 2,5 hours and the weather during the trip was awesome. Thanks to RIB boats and cooperation among the captains we could find the...More

Really good trip! Saw whales several times, the captain was very quick to spot them and rush over. Staff were really nice and knowlegable, and the hot chocolate was tasty! Not crowded so we could move around quite a bit, would definitely recommend!!

Took an authentic boat cruise for 3 hours. Spotted 2 hump backs and watched them for 40 minutes. Been on two other cruises in Nz and California and not spotted like this. Great time had by all of us.

Obviously every trip is different and whale sightings cannot be guaranteed so my rating is based on overall experience. For us, the weather was lovely, the sea was calm and we had high hopes. The tour was on an old fishing boat which isn't the...More

Gentle Giants uses zodiac inflatable boats, which gives them a lot of maneuverability to get near a whale quickly. The boat holds about 15 people, and we were all fully outfitted in waterproof, fleece-lined suits with goggles, gloves, and rubber boots. We first went to...More

A bit pricy but worth taking the speedboat, since more fun while waiting for whales to pop up. Seen quite a few as also this type of boats go faster from one sighting to the other. Recommended!

The rib boats are big, fast and quite comfy if you are used to a zodiac. The whale watching is spectacular with a lot of humpbacks right in the bay so you don't have a long ride. The big boats do get to the whales...More

This was an awesome experience. The skipper really knew his stuff. It was a rough day on the sea but we had some great viewing due to his calm control of the boat and knowledge of the animals. It was one of those memorable experiences...More

Richardo was our leader. He was fun and informational. We saw many puffins next to the bird island. We saw two whales and dolphins feeding. Got many great photos. They take good care of us and the speed boat was fast. Great fun.More

Hello Gioske, I'm sorry but we took the tour on August 20th, therefore we weren't together. We were offered an alcoholic drink made of local herbs. Very good!
