Lovely walk on a sunny day

We enjoyed our walk around the harbour which is close to shops, restaurants and hotels. Our hotel was the T10 about a 25 minute walk away.

Nice place to wander round and good restaurants for lunch or dinner. The museum was closed in March but teh Arts and Cultural centre was open.

This is a lovely, working harbor. We took a walk from our hotel (about 20 minutes) to stretch our legs. Glad that we didn't miss this and if we had been staying in City Center, we might have.

Hafnarfjordur was the original port in Iceland. It's a small city, but nice to stroll around in and very scenic. They have a really interesting museum in the downtown area that tells the history of the port. It won't take you long and is definitely worth a visit.

We explored Hafnarfjörður a couple of times and we loved the authenticity of the place and the views across the old harbour. This is a traditional Icelandic town with typical Icelandic buildings and attractions.

Spent a couple of hours walking around here, some lovely shops to visit, harbour was quiet only a couple of boats moving. Lots of Christmas decorations all over the harbour area, very pretty.

It was raining, so drove to the port. Not much to see apart from a couple of sea going trawlers tied up. It does have a burger bar. petrol station and right at the end of the shopping containers, is a paved walkway to the harbour entrance. Last resort.

The harbour is not used. No boats moved in or out in the 5 days I was visiting. It's not the most picturesque harbour and there are no bars or restaurants nearby.
