After seeing the pictures of Silfra, my wife and I decided to do the dry suit snorkeling. Our guide, Jammi was fantastic. Started with jokes, but made sure the safety information was passed along. The snorkeling was fantastic. Don't mess with a Go-Pro while snorkeling,...More

My son & I had the one in a lifetime experience of snorkeling Silra where the North American tectonic plate meets the Eurasian tectonic plate. The dive master was very instructive and the visibility was unbelievably clear.

Having recently done the dry suit qualification so I could dive Silfra I was a little nervous about diving with a dry suit for only the third time but Hedinn was wonderful, I was lucky enough to dive just with him and we were first...More

We were so excited to have the opportunity to dive in Silfra, but when we returned home we were really disappointed with Hedinn's professionalism in following up with his word that he was going to send us the pictures he promised. I emailed him 4...More

What an amazing experience! Our original date had to be cancelled due to bad winds and an unpleasant snorkelling experience if we went ahead with that day. Luckily Hedinn was able to reschedule us to the next day and I am so glad that he...More

Wonderful experience, staff were all great, it is QUITE cold! So bring like 7 pairs of socks, or just wear all the socks you brought to Iceland. Ask for AJ ... he's pretty awesome. Unfortunately had a long wait since some divers equipment malfunctioned and...More

Tour not done with us, AJ is not working for me. We are usually the first into the water, so no waiting time :)

We decided to go on this trip after arriving in Iceland so I didn't have the thermal underwear. We looked at the mall for a while with no luck. They didn't seem to really care as you can wear pants without issue. Also, we forgot...More

Ok, his jokes are terrible and he supports Liverpool but these things are easy to overlook once you witness Hedinn’s passion for diving. This guy knows his stuff; he insists on small groups (2-3) unlike some of the bigger operators, has first class kit and...More

Hedinn meets early in the morning so that you enter the water first, this means that you have an unspoiled view. Great experience.

Hedinn will get my utmost recommendations. He leaves early in the morning, so you get the thrill of breaking the water and be the first in Thingvellir Nt. Park. There is a reason they call him the dinosaur at Silfra - he has more dives...More

Anytime is a good time, as though the water is consistently between 35 and 40 degrees fahrenheit, the dry suits keep you nice and warm. The website is dive.is

You have an air suit if you are doing the glacier snorkeling. It surrounds your body with air so that only your head ( and hair) and hands get wet in the water.
