Laufas is a well preserved old farm house that takes you back in time with 16 rooms with artifacts. A great experience into history. Views from the house were stunning. Highly recommend you stop for a visit.

Laufás is special and only one of few well preserved turf house farms left in Iceland. Beautiful views, historic buildings and a welcoming coffee house, this is a must see when coming to the North of Iceland.

Detail is excellent; a great example of a turf house with many different rooms, artefacts and great explanations in English.

This has now been turned into a museum. The staff working there are very passionate. This is not for everyone however if you you enjoy culture this is worth a stop.

We went with Celebrity and took a private tour so cannot help you specifically. There is more than one location of 'turfed houses' . If you want to visit these particular ones you will need to contact RCI. Enjoy your trip... More

The Farmhouse is a car ride away from the ships docking area . You would have to book a private trip or use a local taxi company .
