Parking is just beside the waterfall. In April the place was a bit crowded by many tourists from different countries, but we still managed to see it in full effect. The place is just of highway 1.

This waterfall is one of the most widely known on Iceland, and it's right off the highway. The place is magical, the history behind it amazing, and everything about it is great. I will definitely go back. This place must be experienced by just admiring...More

This is the waterfall you can get so so so close to it and feel the power, strength and awesomeness of the nature! Obviously the weather was stormy and windy, wait until it’s less windy then you could stay a bit longer outside!

Godafoss is approximately 1 hour from Akureyri. Even though is not as big as other waterfalls, I think is the most picturesque. Parking is very easy, and you can park on either side of the waterfall. There is also a gas station with a small...More

Impressive fall of water 30 meters long and 12 meters high. You can see the water falling from the top of the waterfall, right where the river falls

These falls are right next to the road. You can park on either side of the falls. You can walk to the base of the falls also. It was very beautiful with the snow and ice surrounding the falls. The falls are wider in the...More

Godafoss waterfall is in my opinion one of the best (if not number one) waterfalls in Iceland You can enjoy the sight from two accessible sides and even get down to the downside level

Godafoss, (the waterfall of the gods...), was a highlight of our trip - just spectacular. The pathways were very icy and we definitely needed the crampons here. The signposting for the falls is easily missed and is just over the river from the falls. There...More

I went in a February and we had snow in Reykjavik and going down south, the impression I got when we went in summer and went up north that it gets very snowy during winter.
