Highly recommend seeing this waterfall. It is stunning and beautiful. Waterfall of the Gods. I love waterfalls and enjoyed everyone I saw but this was my favorite of the five I saw. You cannot come to Iceland and not visit at least one or two and there are many.

We visited Godafoss in early May and there was a ton of water flowing! The wide path along the water made it a pleasant, though short, walk and the viewpoint near the end was the perfect photo spot. We were lucky to see several rainbows!! TIP: You can actually walk along both sides, but the best views of the falls... More

One of the easiest waterfalls to get to - just park and walk a few feet. The waterfall is beautiful and can be accessed on either side.

Easy to access and close to ring road. Lovely waterfall and one of the "few" with a name. Crowded, like most things close to ring road.

Wonderful waterfall which can be approached from 2 sides, giving two quite different views of its stunning cascade of water. Located in the north of the Island, just off route 1. Ideal place to stop and if weather is kind, enjoy a picnic

In terms of beauty I found this waterfall to be one of the prettiest. We visited all falls alongside of the ring road, but this one is the most accessible as well. You can go two ways to give you different perspectives.

This place is a must visit if you are doing the ring road. There are 2 parking areas on both sides of the waterfall and we would recommend visiting both. The left side offers a better view of the waterfalls while the right side allows you to walk till upstream of the waterfall.

Another nice waterfall in Iceland that is right off the main road. There's parking area on either side of the waterfall and I highly recommend you go to both sides to fully experience this place. On the left side, there's a walkway down to the river level that is also recommended. Even though it's not allowed, I see a lot... More
