This museum is for those who are particularly interested in architecture, otherwise it is not so interesting for the general public. There were some displays about what has been remodelled in the last year: it would be better with ‘before’ photos as well as ‘after’...More

Frankly, this is quite a dull Museum, though if you were a architecture freak, it might be for you. However, it is small, so you don't have to spend too much time there.

In the summer, the museum offers excellent guided walking architectural tours through the heart of the city. The history of Helsinki is reflected in its buildings and neighbourhoods. Our very knowledgeable guide, Gayle, explained the architects, their styles and influences. It is well worth the...More

Definitely a specialty museum. It's also a museum where the more you seek out, the more you find. A special exhibit at my visit featured Finnish designed buildings. Many have been built in China, and some are in Finland. The Finns have a reputation for...More

I am glad I bought a combined ticket to the design museum. Otherwise I would have been disappointed. Many architectural models of the Helsinki town, villas and history. The high quality "Architectural ceramic material porcelain" was originally developed in China.Finnish-Chinese co-operation work to introduce bamboo...More

I was expecting more, since Finnish architecture has so much to show and say. the permanent exhibit is tiresome, too much text. hard to read. yet- having said that. the story line is fascinating, I read it all, but with a great deal of effort....More

Museum of Finnish Architecture is a very small museum. There wasn't much to see inside. And the things being displayed weren't interesting anyway. Maybe the museum could have curated its exhibition in a more interesting manner. In short, not worth the money, time or effort....More

With a Design Museum combi-ticket you pay only 2 euros extra for this museum. It was worth that to see the building and its beautiful staircase, but otherwise not so much to see. I would not pay 10 euros only for this museum.

This is only worth your time if you're going to the Design Museum next door (the combined ticket is cheap) or on a Helsinki card. Also, you have to believe in reading signs as the exhibits are 90% sign, 10% architectural models. I found those...More
