This is the most beautiful library I have ever seen. The interior is impeccably kept and looks like a beautiful museum. The athmosphere is like in a church.

This is a lovely building with great facade displaying the Soviet influences. An interesting fact is that the library is legally obliged to store all printed material published in Finland.

Free entrance, spent a very enjoyable couple of hours looking at the lovely architecture of the library and at the books.

When I took the free walking tour today the guide suggested we go into the building. To my surprise it was beautiful inside. You do have to check your heavy coat and bags but it is worth it.

the building features an old-style library, and microfilm aisle....interesting for it's architecture but sure for the contents, too! worth a visit, the entrance is free, you need to store your backpacks in the basement drawers...

An interior well worth visiting. It is a working Library so there some guidelines to follow and you're not allowed to take your bags and coats with you.
