This building is worth visiting just because the building itself. Architecture that will last fresh and stylish for decades. Wood and glass are the main materials. If you have a chance to attend a concert even better. This building for designed ground up for music and best possible acoustics. The end result is amazing.

The wood and natural materials give the building a warm atmosphere.Because of the glass walls, the connection between inside and outside is emphasized. This fluidity is echoed in the fact that from the corridors one can at several spots look inside the performance hall, again through big windows. The hall, with its varied design of seats, is worth seeing in... More

The Finnish music hall was a great experience. True to the famous Finnish design concepts of clean lines and beauty this a great gift to the city. The seats and the steps with their singular lighting were lovely. We had a great evening. Awed by the central concert platform, we had seats behind the orchestra(a new concept) with the conductor... The helsinki music centre is very beautiful. The sound system of the hall was very nice. Even my seat was 2nd floor the sound was perfect. Admission fee was 20 eur. (Hesinki... More

It's located in the city centre between Kiasma - the modern art museum and the Finlandia hall so it's easy to access. This building is a very good example of Finish architecture, a lot of wood and glass and a open space. You can wonder in and around the building freely, and they have delicious luch for a small fee... More

What an incredible building! The main hall is fantastic but there is also a small hall with two chamber organs. We were lucky enough to catch a lunchtime concert there and both instruments were played. Wonderful sound! There is also a good music shop and all the facilities are well-designed and clean and comfortable. Very impressive Finnish design and the... More

On a two-day visit to Helsinki I was lucky enough to get a ticket to a concert performed by the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra featuring two Sibelius works and an amazing work for strings and percussion by a modern Finnish composer who actually spoke about his work. The sound and sight of the concert was wonderful. The hall is amazing,... More

We had the luck to attend a fabulous concert with johannes piirto a pianist, a young protege. Wonderful sounds in the hall and seating was virtual a complete circle around the stage. The stage/hall is cut into the ground so most seats are below grade. Nice area to spend intermission. An appealing hanging sculpture. Easy to get from city centre.... More
