If you are looking for somewhere so quiet that you can hear a pin drop, this place is it. It is extremely peaceful and a lovely place to sit and reflect if you've had a busy, bustling time in the city.

I stopped by the chapel on my way to the Kamppi Shopping Center because the building itself stood out from the scenery. There was not much to do since it was a religious landmark but I did admire the architecture inside out. Actually I think there was a schedule for events held in the Chapel and its auxiliary building but... More

Definitely worth a short stop. Don't go if you want to sit there chatting with your mates and taking lots of photos (what are people like, can't they read and adhere to signs?!!). My mum died earlier this year and I found it the perfect place to sit quietly and think of her there with me. The atmosphere inside (apart... More

Shut off from the outside world, I could have sat here all day. Such simple elegance and a place for reflection without any obvious religious influence. A must do when visiting Helsinki

What better place to find a Chapel of Silence than just outside a major shopping area? If you arrive in Helsinki at the Kamppi bus station, you'll see it immediately when you leave the centre. It has a bit of a Noah's Ark look about it, but once you go inside it is as serene and calming as you could... More

The church is located right by Kampi, very convenient. There is no entrance fee and you can stay there as long as you wish. It's small but I really enjoyed being there for even just a moment of silence.

We asked the (female ) vicar where the local R. Catholic church was and she kindly gave us directions.

It is quite amazing that the Finnish Lutheran Church has been able to create such a silent place in such lively environment. And the design is fabulous. This place is absolutely worth a visit or several.

A fascinating structure that "invites" one to come and investigate. There is not much to see as it's very stark and simple inside but the light from high up is fascinating and it's always great to have a quiet place to visit in a busy capital city. Worth a visit.
