I felt like I paid 14€ just for looking at skeletons and stuffed animals. Most of the information is not available in English (even titles sometimes are not translated). Though museum looks nice, I don't recommend visiting it unless you have nothing else to do....More

The building is an old Russian boy school from 1913. From 1923 it has been a Natural History Museum, part of the University of Helsinki. It is easy to spend several hours here. The museum also has a cafe and a souvenir shop.

We were looking for an attraction that will not take much time and energy and this museum was the perfect answer. We spent about two hours there and the kids really enjoyed the skeletons - figuring out which animal each skeleton belongs to, and the...More

The exhibitions are well made, but seeing filled animals room after a room, it gets boring. I would have wanted to see more of nature stuff, stones, ice age theme, pebbles, but that side was very very tiny and it is so much about the...More

Wonderful place to visit, especially with kids. At the information desk you will find guides that will help you tour the museum based on different themes. What a wonderful idea! I enjoy visiting here every time I go.

I would give this museum a five star if they had more information in English. But we still had a great time viewing dinosaur bones, two-headed calf, and elephant skeletons. I highly recommend checking out this museum.

The moose statue in front of the museum has become the symbol of the museum. The museum displays taxidermed animlas, skeletons, remains of prehistoric animals and minerals. In the lobby hall, we saw a taxidermed African elephant. The first floor houses a bone exhibition whereas...More

our group from Canada and US stopped by on our private tour bus. Quite expensive at 14 euros for adults, but worth a visit, there are many exhibits to see. A very good museum.

Lucky for me, I get to pass by this large and historical vault of the past everyday. Definitely worth a visit for locals as well as tourists who are into the local animal species and even wonderful dinosaur exhibits.
