Very large square in front of the Cathedral. Central location and all the tour buses stop here. A great place to stop, take photos and just enjoy the atmosphere. It is very big so despite there being a fair view people there it is certainly...More

Lots of activities in the Square with people visiting the Cathedral. Whilst we were there there was a Army marching band and teenagers doing acrobats.

Good place to visit while visiting Helsinki, in the town centre close to the harbour so easy to walk to other tourists sights.

The tram stops and goes from here as do the two hop on hop off tour buses. It is also central to shopping, cafe's and restaurants. It is also worth a visit in itself.

the Senate square is about a ten minute walk from the central station and is where the red city sightseeing buses depart. A very popular meeting place and a good place to start your tour of Helsinki.

This can be a very busy area, and we added to it from our cruise ship Navigator of the seas, 28 in our geocaching group. There is the Palace, Helsinki Cathedral and university here. Great area to take pictures. Also a statue of Alexander II.
