I love museums where people actually have lived. This is one of those. The marchalk Mannerheim was a very interesting person not only political but also as an interior designer. I've been there many times and I always find something new.

This house is exciting Finnish history, the home of a major person in Finland (and partly also Russian history). Very interesting place and good guides.

Great museum that will teach you a lot about Finlands history and what happened during WW2. The exhibitions are very well organized and beautifully done.

You get a guided tour with the 10€ ticket. Our guide was excellent. Highly recommend this museum! There are some items on sale, photos and cards etc. The location is nice, there are lots of embassies around and the big Kaivopuisto park with a restaurant.

We went to this museum because of the good reviews and we like smaller museums. The 1 hour guided tour was very informative. The displays are authentic and interesting. It is a great way to learn about Mannerheim as well as some history of Finland. A nice half day activity to visit the museum and walk around the neighbourhood, which... More

I was looking forward to this second visit to the museum. Physically, it's the same, interesting place. And it's still devoted to the life of one of the most interesting leaders of the 20th Century. Unfortunately, either the museum or just the individual guide has shifted towards a misleading, nationalistic stance. During WW2, Finland allied itself with Germany. This decision... More

A beautifully presented museum of a most amazing man. The museum is a bit hard to find but it is worth it. For 10Euro you get an hour escorted visit where Mannerheim's life and achievements are explained. Not to be missed.

The focus of this house where Mannerheim lived and the memorabilia that it contains is to chronicle the life of this famous soldier and diplomat. The tour is offered in English and is quite interesting; the guides are well able to field additional questions about this interesting man.

The Mannerheim Museum was undoubtedly the best thing I saw in my time in Helsinki. The house became a museum shortly after Mannerheim died, so it is very near to its original state. There is so much history on the tour, from photos of royals gifted to Mannerheim to military mementos and grand crosses to the treasures brought back from... More
