This is a pretty solid looking building, sufficiently imposing to house the national parliament of Finland. A bit of a walk from the centre but still easily reachable on foot. I visited on a Sunday afternoon and of course it wasn't open for visitors at...More

The Eduskuntatalo almost resembles a classical Greek temple, due to its many grand columns and steps. This building is where the Parliament of Finland regularly meets and was built in the 1920, following a competition to choose the most suitable location. The Helsinki Parliament Building...More

The architecture of the hallways is interesting, and the whole house oozes its building times style. If you have possibility to visit there, go.

The building is a block of neo-classicalism a Top a hill overlooking Helsinki. It wasn’t open for visiting but it’s interesting to stop and admire the architecture and take a snap.

We were unaware and did not find out on the website but the building was, as of July 2016, closed to visitors. This should be displayed prominently on their website but it was not. It was an unpleasant walk in the rain. If you plan...More

I think they are preparing for the 100th anniversary in 2017 - so there is a lot of work going on. Be nice if you are here in 2017 but not so great in 2016!!! It is what it is - at least they had...More

Coming from the Ring Rail Line from the airport to my hotel with my suitcases it seemed as though the building works had been completed. I could see the red granite (rapakivi) and the columns in the front of the building. But it was a...More
