This is a more like a wide, tree-lined avenue than a park. Several statues (some history) and pleasant trails for pedestrians and bikers. We were there at the beginning of September, the weather cooperated and the stroll was pleasant. Some small street vendors, musicians and...More

This is a very nice small walking park that was originally built to be a fire break in the middle of the city. Many years ago the buildings were mostly built of wood and the fire services were minimal. There are beautiful flowers, statues and...More

We walk through here on our way back from the outdoor market to the central station. It was a beautiful day, people playing music, everyone just enjoying the sun.

Esplanade Park is a gorgeous tree-line avenue with plenty of cafe's and restaurants. The avenue runs down to Market Square. It's a lovely stroll through the park, especially admiring all the Neo-Renaissance buildings, Hotel Kamp being the" icon" building. The Esplanade is my favourite place...More

I do believe where the cruise ports you just keep walking west a couple of blocks and you will be in the middle of Esplanadi. Lots of shops, snacks and salons. Public market at the port, too. Local food and art/crafts. Enjoy!
