A nice walk through this street with various high end shops on either side starting at the Havis Amanda Fountain and ending at the National Theater. The park itself basically runs the length of the road down the center and is quite a nice walk through this part of the city. There is also a really nice Café, Bar Restaurant... More

I had a walk around the park. The architecture of the buildings around it is varied, and some of it is extremely nice to look at. The park it self is not a big grassy one, but a path with benches, some grass and trees down the side. It was fairly peaceful on a Sunday afternoon.

Though it was cold in March, we did enjoy the leisurely stroll from our hotel till the water front. There are several statues along the way. Boutiques dot the boulevard on one side. It was nice to see one of the main streets of the city.

Walking down the Esplanade in cold cold April was lovely as you walk towards the sea and the Old Market Hall it feels calm and safe.

We strolled along the northern part of the park one day and the southern part another day. Two very different experiences with sun the first day and rain the other.

I walked the length of this park, and it has quite a few features. A statue here, a fountain there, a sign saying My Helsinki in another section. And while you are walking down the centre, your eyes glance to the right (or left) and the architectural work on the buildings facing the park is magnificient. Dont forget to do... More

This park is in a great neighborhood bordered by shops and restaurants on both sides of it. We travelled here in March so the flowers and trees were not in bloom but I can imagine that in summertime it would be very pretty. The Esplanade Park connects the city core to the harbour so it is a nice option when... More

We didn't realise there was such a nice esplanade park on our way walking to the harbour area market, but thoroughly enjoyed the experience and peeking into the shops and people-watching along the way. The trees were just leafing out and the fountains were running, just a lovely place.

This is right in downtown, and is where the high end boutique shops and restaurants are. There are always people walking around. It's really pretty in the summer, but also a good place to be in March, which is when I was there.

Lovely area in Helsinki for a bit of quiet time out of the center. Great restaurants around this area too.
