This is the market where the locals go to buys fresh fish, meat, bread etc. It is smaller than the main market square. You wont't find tourists at all. There are nice placed inside to have coffee, snack of lunch. Salmon or trout sandwich is the best in town! Very easy to reach by metro, tram or bus.

The outside market is not much to see, but the Hall itself is the best Place for fish, meat, bread, cheeses... and everything. I visit this Hall frequently - nothing cheap, but always good quality, and you`ll find things you wont find anywhere else. Also, the atmosphere is something very unique! Nice cafes, also. Go there!

Quaint, right in the middle of town, lots of variety, good prices, lots of berries! I had the meat pie here for breakfast from the cafe and it was so good. Great place to just grab a coffee and hangout and people watch.

The best market in Helsinki, and perhaps in Finland. Fresh vegetables, good meat, fresh fish, ... and don't forget Finnish cheese.

The market is cosy and a nice place to just walk around. Unless you live in the city there's not much to buy. A few handcrafted things or a quick meal in one of the tents serving seafood. Food looked good. Liked the relaxed atmosphere there.

Our group enjoyed this market particularly because our tour guide with Day with A Local Helsinki, Liisa, explained all the foods, preparations and seasonings unique to Finlanders. She helped us to sample specific items in order to appreciate the tastes more. It really helped our group of four to have our guide's assistance in this market because she explained many... More

Hakaniemi Market square and also the Market hall are real Finish Market places. You will find typical Finnish food there and also some handicraft. Quality is good and the sales staff are proffessional and friendly.

The location is beautiful by the harbor but the handicrafts for sale were mostly trinkets of low quality and not low prices.
